I had a nice lazy (as lazy as you can be with three kids) afternoon planned when my friend dropped off some Quaker Whole Hearts Cereal. I hear it was on sale at Costco for $1.99 for the super, huge, double box! I looked and realized the cereal pieces were little hearts! NO WAY! Too cute. Fifteen minutes later my five-year old and I have already whipped up a batch of Rice Krispie…er…Quaker Whole Hearts treats, WITH little heart sprinkles. They are so cute it is ridiculous!
Can you see those cute little heart cereal pieces? I simply added a few drops of pink food coloring to the marshmallow/ butter mixture. After we pressed the treat mixture into the pan we sprinkled it with heart sprinkles and pink dragees. I used heart cookie cutters to shape them.
